Please have a look at the form you fill up for enrolling for Aadhaar card.

Here is the form:

Do you see any field which asks for your consent to share the information? I did not see any.
You faithfully fill up the form and submit. The agent or the authority types whatever you have filled up and asks you to verify. You would concentrate on whatever you have written and whatever is typed and scrutinize that part meticulously, correcting wherever there is difference. So far, so good.

But wait! There is an extra field, which you may never notice.

There is a column, "Information sharing consent", which you never filled up in your application, but the printed application would have a column filled with the answer, "Yes", which you will never notice. Assuming that you have verified every information you provided is correctly entered, you would sign the printed application, which has this stealth column which you might never have noticed. The Government of India cheats you into signing a document including a column which was never a part of the form you filled up. It is basically a fraud played upon you by the Govt of India. You can do nothing about it because you would have signed it without noticing the fraudulently included field.

I signed it like a fool and the govt will share my details claiming that I agreed to it. It is fraud played by GOI on innocent citizens, IMO.
